Privacy Policy

Effective June 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Recurventory, LLC ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use Recurventory (the "Service"), a tool for tracking birthdays, anniversaries, and other recurring occasions and sending reminders.

Information we collect

  • Account information: your name, email address, username, and a securely hashed password.
  • Event data you enter: the names, dates, relationships, and notes for the people and occasions you track. This may include information about other people; see "Information about others" below.
  • Notification data: your email and (if you enable push) your browser push subscription, used to deliver reminders.
  • Usage and technical data: basic logs needed to operate and secure the Service (e.g., request times, IP address at login).

How we use information

  • To provide the Service — storing your events and sending you reminders by email and push.
  • To generate optional AI gift suggestions when you request them (see "Third-party services").
  • To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.
  • To communicate with you about your account.

Third-party services

We share limited information with service providers only as needed to run the Service:

  • Email delivery (Resend): we send reminder and account emails through Resend.
  • AI gift suggestions (Anthropic): when you ask for gift ideas, certain details of that event — the occasion, relationship, upcoming age, and the "Interests & Gift Ideas" you've entered — are sent to Anthropic's API to generate suggestions. We do not send the person's name, and your private Notes field is never sent.
  • Hosting: the Service runs on cloud infrastructure (DigitalOcean).
  • Affiliate links: some outbound links (e.g., to retailers for gifts, flowers, or cards) are affiliate links. If you click them and make a purchase, we may earn a commission, and the retailer's own privacy practices apply on their site.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you logged in (an authentication token). We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Information about others

Recurventory lets you store details about other people (e.g., a friend's birthday). You are responsible for ensuring you have an appropriate basis to add that information, and you should only add what is necessary for reminders.

Data retention & your choices

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can edit or delete your events at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the address below.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including hashed passwords and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the effective date above when we do.
